St. Vincents 1-8 Kilbride 2-5

St. Vincent’s earned a draw in this tight Premier Division 7 encounter in Kilbride. 

Vincent’s started well with a penalty in the 2nd minute when Dylan Kavanagh was judged to be fouled in the square. Robbie Lynch scored from the spot and a minute later Dylan Kavanagh could have had a 2nd goal for St. Vincent’s when he ran straight at the Kilbride defence and shot the ball and was heading for the top corner but for a brilliant save from the Kilbride keeper. 

Robbie Lynch got a point from a free in the 6th minute and Kilbride got on the score board in the 13th minute.  A point in the 22nd minute from Collie Hand was followed up by 2 points from Kilbride before Cathal Tallon scored a point just before half time to leave a goal between the teams at the break 1-3 v 0-3.

This lead was wiped out almost immediately with a goal for Kilbride at the start of the 2nd half.   Vincent’s regained the lead 4 minutes later with an excellent point from Eoin Hand.  Kilbride got back level again 3 minutes later and Robbie Lynch restored the lead once again in the 44th minute but Kilbride got a 2nd goal just before the water break to go ahead for the first time in the match.  The score at the last water break was 1-5 v 2-4.

Another point from Eoin Hand and 2 from Robbie Lynch put the Vincent’s back ahead but a 60th minute point from Kilbride brought it level and this is how it finished.
