Kildalkey had 11 different scorers in this home win against Blackhall gaels on Friday night and hit 2-18 from play as they got back on the winning track again after losing to Kiltale in round one the week before.
2 first half goals from Evan Fitzgerald paved the way as Kildalkey led at half time 2-10 to 0-7 with young teenager Kelvin Lynch enhancing his reputation with 4 fine points to his credit
Mark Healy at full forward put in a huge shift as he scored 2 points but set up 4 or 5 more with his unselfish play and tackling .
2 Conor Kearney frees Ross Flynn Conor Fitzgerald were other scorers in the half.
Kildalkey introduced 7 substitutes and all came on and played well with 2 other teenagers Ryan Byas and Mattie Cully both scoring great points when they came on
Paddy Pottertons move to his familiar midfield role paid dividends with 3 super points and his powerful runs opened up the Blackhall defence.
Another sub Andy Fagan chipped in with 2 points and won a couple of frees when introduced as Kildalkey kept the foot on the throttle.
The Kildalkey rearguard were solid throughout also as they won most of the 50-50 battles.
Kildalkey ran out 2-21 to 1-11 winners on the night and next up is Trim next week at home
