Junior Hurling:

Our Junior  hurling team had a disappointing  loss to St Kierans  on Sunday  last in Croagh in our second group game. We began the game very well leading by five points to no score but our opponents from the West upped their game considerably  and were the hungrier team on the day to win by 2 12 to 0 15.

Next up is Ahane on Sunday next at 8pm in Caherdavin, and we need to bounce back with  a win.

U14 Girls Final:

On a balmy September evening our u14s headed to Kilteely for the replay of the Novice Shield final against Oola. After an extremely close encounter in the previous final, this promised to be another close affair. It's a cliche, but it really was a game of two halves. We got off to a flying start with a goal in the opening minutes. However, it was Oola who drove on from this. The score at half time was 5-3 to 2-1 to Oola. I'm sure there were some supporters who were getting worried, but luckily the players didn't think it was over yet. Oola got a goal in the opening minutes of the second half, but it was St Patrick's who responded best. There was only a goal in it at the second water break. The girls dug deep and kept pushing.  The final score was 7-8 to 6-4 to St Patrick’s. Huge congratulations to the whole squad who never gave up.

Well done Paul & Barry, who have put a huge amount of work & effort into the team.

Bonus Ball:

Congratulations  to Tom Downes who won  our Bonus Ball prize this month with the winning number 32.
