LIMERICK

 

Congratulations to the Limerick Senior Football team who had a great win over the weekend against Wicklow which now means a League semi final challenge against Derry in two weeks time.

Our own Gordon Brown played a fine game at wing back chipping in with a point.

Elsewhere the Limerick Junior camogie side had a fine victory over Waterford in Kilmallock to set up a semi final. Enya Harrington was in fine form and chipped in with 6 pointed frees. Niamh Tuite at full back also had a fine outing.

There was no joy for the Limerick Senior Camogie team who suffered a big defeat at the hands of Galway but nevertheless still qualify for a quarter final spot. Laura O Neill and Sinead McNamara part of this squad.

Next weekend will be the turn of the Senior Hurlers when they face Cork in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday night. We wish Limerick well.

Huge congratulations to all our winners over the weekend in the May draw.

Joe Forde scooping second prize of €3000 and Willie Fitzgerald winning €1000.
