This was a very tight game in Kilmallock with Galtee Gaels were slightly the better team on the day, with them scoring two crucial goals one in each half of the game to lead them to safety. We had a memorable 21 years as a senior football club, winning seven county titles, 1 Munster Club and a run of 18 consecutive Semi-Finals appearances. The above club would like to thank the management team of Michael Fahy, Seanie Buckley and Diarmuid Carroll, backroom team Garry Noonan and Colm Meaney, Club officer/ Secretary Eoin Barry and the dedicated panel of players led by Derry McCarthy Captain.

 

Galtee Gaels scored the first two points of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with a point coming from Derry McCarthy. Galtee Gaels scored the next point to lead by two points once again and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points just before the water break to bring sides back on level terms for the first and last time during the game and these points came from Paul Madigan and Brian Ahern. Galtee Gaels scored the next two points to lead by two points and then Derry McCarthy scored a pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a point between the sides.  Galtee Gaels scored their first goal of the game with 29 minutes in the game to lead by four points and then Brian Ahern scored a pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring the lead back to three points.  Galtee Gaels scored the last point of the half coming from a free to leave four points between sides at the end of the half.  To leave the score at half-time Galtee Gaels 1-6 to 0-5.

 

Galtee Gaels scored the first point of the second half to lead by five points and Cillian Fahy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point to leave four points between the sides.  Galtee Gaels scored the next point to leave five points between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points with two of these points coming from Ahern and the other point coming from Cillian Fahy to leave two points between the sides.  Galtee Gaels scored their second goal of the game to leave five points between the sides once again with 42 minutes gone in the game and then Brian Ahern of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another pointed free to bring the lead back to four points. Galtee Gaels scored the next point to put five points between the sides once again and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three with two of these points coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point came from Brian Ahern to leave two points bring sides once again. Galtee Gaels scored the next point to leave three points between the sides and then Garrett Noonan scored the last point of the match to leave two points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Galtee Gales 2-10 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-14.

U12 hurling notes

Our hurlers played their final round of the league Thursday against Killeedy/ Tournafulla. Our boys were slow to start gradually got into the game with getting a few great scores. From the goalie to the forwards really started to settle into the game with their hooking and blocking was brilliant. Our boys finished up with a scoreline of 2-6 to Killeedy/ Tournafulla 0-2. Our boys have finished up on 8pts after winning all four games qualifying them for the final. A great turnout of supporters again on the night for this team. The line out was as follows. M. The following are the Results of the Lotto Draw that took place on the 05-10-20, and the numbers were: 14, 15, 20, 31 There was no winner of Jackpot at 9,300 or there was no winner of match three at €100 and the Lucky Dips at €50 each were: Brian Downes, Dromcollogher and Dylan and Hannah Daly, Sydney, Australia, Next week’s will take place on this coming Monday Night 12-10-20, in the GAA Clubhouse, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot will be going up to 9,400 and the Match Three will be staying at €100.
