Intermediate County Final – on the long finger:

On Monday afternoon last our much anticipated Intermediate County Final yet again fell victim to Covid-19 restriction when the GAA announced their decision to suspend all GAA games at all levels with immediate effect and until further notice. The directive applies to all ages and all grades across the island. But keep those flags flying in support of the lads and each other as we all continue to come together and do our best to get us through the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

U15’s become Champions before another lockdown……..
Our U15’s took on St. Joseph’s in the Leitrim U-15 Division 2 Championship, in Mohill last Saturday. Our lads took the field by storm, scoring three goals in the first ten minutes, to put one hand firmly on the cup.
Our defenders kept St. Joseph’s at bay for long periods of the game with ferocious tackling, giving our mid-fielders and forwards plenty of ball to clock up scores. When St. Joseph’s did break through, our goalkeeper was fast off his line to save two close range efforts, and his kick-outs were top drawer going well past midfield. The way our lads used the ‘mark’ was very well executed and admiral at this level. This was a very impressive performance by these lads winning on a score line of 4-13 to 2-7. Well done to players from both clubs and a big thank you to their coaches, Ciaran McNulty, Mark Duignan, Jonathan Duffy and Seamus Gannon. The team on Saturday was: Cian Tierney, Tommy Reen, Luke Mc Manus, Jack Gannon, Matthew Davis, Oisin McGuire, Nathan Ryan, Jack Reynolds, David Liu Doyle, Keelan Lyons, Riaghan Ward, Ultán Mc Nulty, Ryan Fanning, Noah Mc Nulty, Jonathan Boyle, Noah Beck, Conor Reynolds, Brian Liu Doyle, Senan Woods, John Mc Garry and Cian Mc Cormack.

Ladies U16’s:

Congratulations to Keeldra Gaels U16 Ladies on their victory over Drumkeerin in the championship final last Saturday. Well done ladies.
