Magical memories were made on an unforgettable All-Ireland ladies football championship finals day at Croke Park.

It was a massive occasion for the ladies game on the hallowed turf of GAA HQ and we covered both the senior and intermediate deciders.

The senior final pitted holders Dublin against their rapidly-improving and insatiable neighbours Meath. No strangers to this fixture, the Dubs were bidding to win the Brendan Martin Cup for a fifth successive season. But in their way stood a confident, class Royal County, who captured the intermediate title last December and had taken the step-up to the top tier in their stride, powering through to a first-ever senior final appearance.

Beaten finalists last year, Westmeath were aiming to put that heartache behind them when locking horns with Wexford in the 2021 intermediate final.
