Celbridge players Fergal Conway, Kevin Flynn, Mick O'Grady and Paddy Brophy remain part of the Kildare senior football panel despite reports that the quartet may opt out of representing the county over the officiating of their club's semi-final defeat to Moorefield last month.

Manager Jack O'Connor has assembled a strong group of over 30 players as the Lilywhites prepare for their remaining two matches of the Allianz Football League Division 2 campaign at home to Cavan and Westmeath over the next two weekends. Then, they turn their attentions to the championship and a Leinster SFC quarter-final against either neighbours Carlow or Offaly on November 8.

The side will be captained by David Hyland who showed his leadership credentials for Athy in their recent Kildare SFC title win. However, Hyland's clubmate Niall Kelly has been omitted because of an injury sustained during the final victory over Moorefield.
