East Kerry will have to wait until next weekend to find out who they'll be playing in the Kerry SFC final at Austin Stack Park on November 10.

It follows a dramatic 1-15 to 0-18 draw between four-in-a-row chasing Dr Crokes and South Kerry in the second part of this afternoon's semi-final double-header at Fitzgerald Stadium.

David Clifford was once again the star of the show as East Kerry overcame St Brendan’s by 1-18 to 1-14 in the opening game. The county star scored 0-9, including 0-7 from play, to help his side to a first Bishop Moynihan Cup decider in 20 years.

There was nothing between the teams until the 27th minute when Darragh Roche netted to give the winners a 1-9 to 0-8 lead at the break. Two Roche frees and a Ronan Buckley effort from play extended East Kerry’s advantage after the restart before a Niall Sheehy penalty brought St Brendan’s back into contention after 38 minutes.

But they couldn’t get any closer than a point as late frees from the Clifford brothers, David and Paudie, as well as Roche, sealed East Kerry’s win.

Extra-time failed to separate Dr Crokes and South Kerry in the second penultimate round tie as Tony Brosnan's goal with three minutes to go kept the Lewis Road outfit in the championship.

Goalkeeper Shane Murphy's 33rd minute free gave Crokes a slender 0-7 to 0-6 lead at half-time, but it wasn't until the second half that the game sparked into life. Crokes took the lead three times in the final 10 minutes, but couldn't kill off the divisional side who levelled each time through Bryan Sheehan (twice) and Niall O'Shea.

South Kerry scored three unanswered points per Graham O'Sullivan, Sheehan (free) and Niall O'Shea to lead by 0-17 to 0-14 at the end of the first period of extra-time. When Dillan O'Donoghue put them four ahead at the start of the second period, Dr Crokes' reign looked to be coming to an end.

But a late 1-1 from Brosnan saved the Killarney side's bacon.
