Dunmore back in the big time

One of Galway's most famous and decorated football clubs, Dunmore MacHales, are back in the senior ranks for 2023 after they defeated Kilconly 0-8 to 1-3 in Saturday's county IFC final at Tuam Stadium.
Captain Matthew Reddington produced a man of the match performance as the North Galway club ended a 15-year wait for senior football. A picture posted on Galway GAA's Facebook page of long-serving Dunmore player Martin Cleary showed what it meant to him.
Martin was part of the last Dunmore team to win IFC honours in 2004 and also battled back from injury to play his part in the success.
