Dublin v Monaghan

Almost bittersweet feeling leaving Croke Park knowing we have to face that in 3 weeks. More of a punishment than a reward!

Dublin aren't that good. They're just athletes no skill just a bunch of lads who can run quickly.

One of the most foolish posts ever

Yeah Dublin are some team alright....the only problem for neutrals is all games involving Dublin are over at ht or before it.

Donegal aren't going to do much better than Monaghan in the semi. They've gone back since 2011/12 and Dublin have gotten much better. Mayo or Kerry might give them a game in the final but I can't see anyone ready to beat them this year.

no Donegal will give Dublin a much better game

For what reason? On what evidence? Why do so many people think that? Dublin will do another demolition job on them too.

To be fair this would be a different game if it was in clones

They're making a decent team look really poor. I've been bemused at people saying that Donegal will be the team to test them. Donegal are a few points better than Monaghan, but they're simply not as good as they were even two years ago.

As for Mayo and Kerry, the jury is very much out on Kerry. Are they as bad as they looked last Sunday? No. Are they as good as they looked against Cork? I don't know, but even if they are would it be enough? We all know deep down Mayo aren't going to produce it in an All-Ireland final, and I feel no pleasure in saying that.

Only two teams left who can prevent Dublin winning back to back All-Irelands now. Kerry and Mayo. Unfortunately only one of them can meet the Dubs. No disrespect to Donegal but I don't think that they are up to it. Dublin will beat Donegal by at least 5 points. Hard luck to Monaghan, the only consolation is that all other teams with the exception of Kerry and Mayo and just maybe Donegal are in the same boat in terms of how far inferior they are to Dublin.

Certainly no evidence today that we are anywhere near 2012 levels. Dublin's movement is unreal, options everywhere and runners on every shoulder. Wish I could be more optimistic but just too much pace in that Dublin team.

I'd take Dublin minus 10 against Donegal. They ARE unbeatable. Fact.

I said on this thread earlier in week that Monaghan didn't realise howgood Dublin are , and that Dublin should win by ten points plus. Maybe now Monaghan and some of the other Ulster posters will stop knocking laois, meath, etc, and accusing them of rolling over. Now ye know. it's as if the other Leinster teams aren't good. There are very good teams in Leinster, but Dublin are in a league of their own. And it's hard to keep going when they are thrashing you every year

I wouldn't us this result as an excuse for Meaths awful display against Dublin..

Anyway Dublin were poor for the first 25mins here, against the best team they have met so far,and still win by 17.

Maybe some of the other mediocre teams in Leinster should ask to compete in the ulster championship.

I thought today was the day Dublin got a real game against a proper team not like the teams they rolled over in Leinster?

Monaghan showed the same weakness against Dublin today, that Kildare also exploited, albeit to a much lesser extent by the Lilywhites. Monaghan constantly carried the ball into trouble, and again lacked attacking edge and were taking very poor options.

Dublin were outstanding, and exceptionally effcient in attack and also in defence, an area which they normally don't get credit for. Their movement was excellent, and passing and shooting was slick. Probably should have won by a far greater margin. Donegal will have their work cut out now to try and overcome this team.

Dublin have been tested so far, the problem has been they have wiped the floor with everybody they met.
