Almost bittersweet feeling leaving Croke Park knowing we have to face that in 3 weeks. More of a punishment than a reward! benjyyy (Donegal) - Posts: 1435 - 09/08/2014 19:05:30 1633922 Link 0 |

Yeah Dublin are some team alright....the only problem for neutrals is all games involving Dublin are over at ht or before it. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11691 - 09/08/2014 19:07:43 1633925 Link 0 |
Donegal aren't going to do much better than Monaghan in the semi. They've gone back since 2011/12 and Dublin have gotten much better. Mayo or Kerry might give them a game in the final but I can't see anyone ready to beat them this year. lessbull (Kerry) - Posts: 177 - 09/08/2014 19:13:44 1633926 Link 0 |

To be fair this would be a different game if it was in clones 97Cavans (Cavan) - Posts: 411 - 09/08/2014 19:16:13 1633929 Link 0 |
They're making a decent team look really poor. I've been bemused at people saying that Donegal will be the team to test them. Donegal are a few points better than Monaghan, but they're simply not as good as they were even two years ago. Treaty_Exile (Limerick) - Posts: 386 - 09/08/2014 19:16:24 1633930 Link 0 |
Only two teams left who can prevent Dublin winning back to back All-Irelands now. Kerry and Mayo. Unfortunately only one of them can meet the Dubs. No disrespect to Donegal but I don't think that they are up to it. Dublin will beat Donegal by at least 5 points. Hard luck to Monaghan, the only consolation is that all other teams with the exception of Kerry and Mayo and just maybe Donegal are in the same boat in terms of how far inferior they are to Dublin. lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 3049 - 09/08/2014 19:20:13 1633934 Link 0 |
Dublin fans must be bored at this stage no excitement in there games all finished by halftime at the latest ;) shrek95 (Meath) - Posts: 77 - 09/08/2014 19:23:58 1633937 Link 0 |
Certainly no evidence today that we are anywhere near 2012 levels. Dublin's movement is unreal, options everywhere and runners on every shoulder. Wish I could be more optimistic but just too much pace in that Dublin team. benjyyy (Donegal) - Posts: 1435 - 09/08/2014 19:24:33 1633938 Link 0 |
I'd take Dublin minus 10 against Donegal. They ARE unbeatable. Fact. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 09/08/2014 19:24:44 1633939 Link 0 |
I said on this thread earlier in week that Monaghan didn't realise howgood Dublin are , and that Dublin should win by ten points plus. Maybe now Monaghan and some of the other Ulster posters will stop knocking laois, meath, etc, and accusing them of rolling over. Now ye know. it's as if the other Leinster teams aren't good. There are very good teams in Leinster, but Dublin are in a league of their own. And it's hard to keep going when they are thrashing you every year Malonemagic (Laois) - Posts: 817 - 09/08/2014 19:25:18 1633940 Link 0 |

I wouldn't us this result as an excuse for Meaths awful display against Dublin.. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 09/08/2014 19:35:52 1633945 Link 0 |

Maybe some of the other mediocre teams in Leinster should ask to compete in the ulster championship. tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1535 - 09/08/2014 19:40:29 1633953 Link 0 |

Monaghan showed the same weakness against Dublin today, that Kildare also exploited, albeit to a much lesser extent by the Lilywhites. Monaghan constantly carried the ball into trouble, and again lacked attacking edge and were taking very poor options. GaryMc82 (Derry) - Posts: 3026 - 09/08/2014 19:51:44 1633963 Link 0 |
