Nothing to do with it fabio when it comes to the Mayo players, unless Cork is the nearest hospital to Mayo in the case of Vaughan.

Good point 22 and if they do push up on the kick outs then they will in effect be abandoning the blanket and gambling on winning the majority of Dublin kick outs and converting a large proportion of that into scores. If they fall back then they are never going to score more than 13/14 points and will have to restrict Dublin to less than that. A big ask.

222 Monaghan will let Dublin have the ball from kick outs. The reason Monaghan Struggled against Donegal, we didn't take the lead like the ulster final in 2013. If Monaghan do get a 2-3 point lead that when the tactic really comes to fruition, it then forces teams to attack and with Dublin gung-ho style this could leave acres of space for Mone ,Kelly, Hughes and Corey to attack. As the week goes on I believe Monaghan will win, The lift the boys will have got from Saturday will be massive, Monaghan has a habit of beating defending all Ireland champions,

Philly Jordan in the Irish News makes an interesting point. If we can manage to stop Dublin getting goals we've a chance. Easier said than done I know but we'd only conceded 1 championship goal in 2 years before last Saturday, so here's hoping! Have to say am enjoying the banter with Dub fans round the city all week. Though I've never before heard people more confident in their team! Not giving us a hope! :)

Not sure what you are saying here. How many of the dubs are true blues? I would bet there is a fair complement that have at least one 'culchie' parent. There by the grace of gainful employment in the metropolis. Remember being born in a stable doesn't make you a horse. Its where you are reared that gives you that identity.
Oh and I am pretty sure Lee Keegan is Mayo born and bred and there are 2 O'Shea brothers in the Mayo team….at least there was on Sunday…..

I'm not so sure, mattie Donnelly also give Monaghan problems as did armagh the first day. This is a massive step up in class for Monaghan especially in the surroundings of croker. I really can't see Monaghan combating the running game of Dublin and it's unlikely six of their forwards will have a poor game. I'm amazed that posters think if goes to the last ten minutes, Monaghan will win. Dublin have won most of their big games during this period since 2010.

Monaghan and Armagh fans must be sick of all this talk about this semi-final that's supposed to be going ahead Re : Donegal versus Dublin ok Dublin are clear favourites and righty so, but lets see how the game will go the other game is not so clear cut in my opinion. Just read today in Donegal post columnist saying that it will be tough for Donegal against Armagh BUT, that Donegal should get through to semi-Final against Dublin. Everyone should just wait instead of threads being started about Donegal versus Dublin etc. Wait till Sunday morning and start writing then LADS.

I'd say the teams will be out tonight
Can see Ryan Wylie or Kieran Duffy starting instead of Paudie McKenna which I'd rather

I haven't seen any threads about the possible Donegal/Dublin semi final.

All I have seen is a thread, started by a Dub, about an article in a newspaper.

I think everyone should just calm down a bit. HS is a forum for anyone & everyone to express an opinion on any GAA matter under the sun. People who get annoyed obviously don't understand this simple principle.

If it's any consolation Dubs, I find the persistent 'Dublin Region' reference highly irritating and tiresome too. I don't even know what it supposed to mean either...'Réigiún Chill Dara' might have made more sense when Micko was there, what with Lacey, O Dwyer, McCarthy et al!!

Difficult to see Muineachán making a big dent in the Jacks- exciting as last Saturday was, the quality of football will need a huge step up. Would still be roaring for them though if they trouble the counsels of the Boys In Blue (as I'm sure anyone with a soul was back in 2007 when we stole it at the death)

Leave him alone its great to see Kerry men being irked by Dublin. More of it the better. Although in this case i'd have to question the posters maturity. The Dublin Region is a geographical term used to describe the hinterland of the city that depends on its services. The East Coast Corridor from Dublin to Belfast would be another phrase thats common enough. Its an elementary term, usually thought to first year students so the lad is probably an impressionable 18 year old. Don't be too harsh on him....

Jim Gavin doesnt really make changes from the team announced does he?

That is a strong team but sure what ever changes he makes the team will still be strong so doesnt really matter to Monaghan.

We know our game and will play to it whoever the opposition is and hopefully with a bit of luck we will get across the line.
