The Limerick lads seem to be very upset about this game being played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, I have no idea why? macattack (UK) - Posts: 584 - 27/06/2014 10:50:51 1609753 Link 0 |
It is the fact a load of geniune fans will miss out. limerick will have an allocation of twelve thousand and Cork ten according to reports, where will the other ten thousand go. I don't care where we play Cork as we will be winning the match if it was played in McHale park it would not be an issue. Jesus lads ye will be in for a livener on the 13th. Speaking at my club a huge portion of people will miss out on simple numbers. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 27/06/2014 10:57:07 1609758 Link 0 |
Limerick are setting themselves up for the fall, time to move on and get over it. I am sure the genuine Limerick fans that go to most games will get a ticket due to them having a season ticket. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11691 - 27/06/2014 11:01:58 1609759 Link 0 |
More accurate to say limerick ppl ( and others too) having a problem with there being 8000 tickets less than last year disillusiondfan (Limerick) - Posts: 4279 - 27/06/2014 11:03:11 1609760 Link 0 |
It is the fact Limerick have a bigger fan base than certain counties and lots of people from Limerick and CORK will miss out on this game. Cork have the biggest support in the country for both codes no question, Limerick would be a very close second in the hurling. It says it all when the gaelic football munster final tickets are on general sale. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 27/06/2014 11:08:44 1609764 Link 0 |
Yew Tree, you obviously don't get it. I spoke to two guys from large inner city clubs last night at the minors and they were told their chances of getting tickets were not great due to numbers required in the club. I will get my ticket, through the club, work may even chuck me one, it is not always the case that the geniune fan will get a ticket though so don't throw out that line. There are geniune fans in all counties who sometimes are not affiliated with clubs but they go to every game at all levels. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 27/06/2014 11:12:39 1609766 Link 0 |
I was always 100% certain of a ticket no matter what but due to injury I'm not active with my club this year, my club may give me one but I'm concerned. Now I go to every league game, even up north, I go to most Minor and u-21, I even go to most challenge games but the reality is I may not get a ticket. My club sent an email out to everyone saying that they will not get enough tickets. freetaker1 (Limerick) - Posts: 758 - 27/06/2014 11:35:44 1609787 Link 0 |

Kurt between hurling and football Cork have a monstrous support. They outnumbered ye at the hurling semi last year, Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 27/06/2014 12:12:15 1609829 Link 0 |
Cork have the biggest Hurling following alright id say but their football supporters are pathetic...Leitrim would outnumber them. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11691 - 27/06/2014 12:16:01 1609833 Link 0 |

We have a fantastic hurling support no doubt but apart from the annual championship battle with Kerry we must have the worst football support per head of population in the country. Disappointing but true. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 383 - 27/06/2014 12:21:17 1609840 Link 0 |
Apologies always thought they had a better football fan base. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 27/06/2014 12:23:39 1609841 Link 0 |
Lads, can ye keep the debate to the facts. Clubgaa (Limerick) - Posts: 879 - 27/06/2014 12:27:28 1609847 Link 0 |
Waynol, you could ask re league games about every county so don't give me that one fella. I am sure the 13-15k from Limerick and Cork (3 times) that travelled to Thurles are not going to get tickets. Or a large portion of the 35k from both Limerick and Cork that travelled to semi's and finals in Croke park last year, Cork on 3 occassions again are not going to get tickets. So to say everyone will get tickets is untrue, end of the day a certain amount of fan will get tickets. You will have the freebie brigade who will get theirs and then you will have corporate. About 10-15K people will not get to go to the Munster hurling final that would otherwise have gone. There's a huge interest in this. The fans are the losers. Joke shop indeed. Football should easily be accommodated in PUC. enver (Limerick) - Posts: 128 - 27/06/2014 12:31:13 1609851 Link 0 |
