All-Ireland club hurling championship

Isn't it a great competition when we're talking about Carlow, Laois, Offaly & Westmeath hurling teams potentially winning their province & an Ulster club winning the All-Ireland.

pinkie I fully expect Oulart to win this weekend but I believe if its KK they face in the semi, then IMO it is the end of the road for them...

Oulart are playing Clara turfcutter!

But you are correct, they should win. Now that Ballyboden are out of the football, I would fancy them to win Dublin SHC and to get to Leinster final.

Oulart play the winners of Camross and Kilcormac/Killoughey, a tough rout but I've just read Oulart are 11-2 for Leinster and 18-1 for the All-Ireland, I'm backing it and hoping for similar luck to Shane McGowan in Fairytale of New York! I think those odds are a bit generous.

hope Oulart win the leinster. you can only go to the well so many times before it runs dry. Hopefully they will get their just rewards this year but i think a team from the so called weaker counties will have a surprise in store for one of the big clubs. Still think Munster champions or portumna will win it though

I expect whoever comes out of Leinster to have a major say in the All-Ireland. Oulart V KK is gonna be some game! Obviously Portumna & Loughiel are safely through to the semis & have plenty of experience which can count too.

Oulart showed a lot of character yesterday to recover after conceding two soft enough goals. They will have to do the same again to get over the Offaly champions in the semi-final. Dublin final on next Sunday with the winners playing Carlow champions Mount Leinster Rangers. Anything can happen in the semi-finals but my money would be on a Dublin Wexford final.

Oulart v Kilcormac should be some game. The last two years have seen Oulart beat the KK champs and then lose to the Offaly champs. Is history going to cruelly repeat itself again (for Oulart- I'm sure Kilcormac Killoughey won't be worried about whether Rory Jacob has a Leinster club medal or not)? I would like to see Oulart winning at least the Leinster title. They have been close and it would be nice to see them get over the line..they will have time to regroup then an after Christmas and who knows. Winning it this year means they will have to beat the KK, Offaly and Dublin or Carlow champs to be crowned victorious..it will be sweet for them if it happens

Delighted Mount Leinster Rangers won yesterday. A lot of battling qualities in this team and their experience of being there over the last few years is paying dividends. It will be a difficult game the next day but are capable of putting it up to the best of them!

I watched the Clara v Oulart match. Oulart played well enough to win the game and I think there is more in them. They can blow hot and cold and definitely have the ability to advance. Should be a great game with KK.

Overall it is a championship that is worth following!

Snuff, if Lucan beat Boden on Sunday yes i would absolutely look forward to them going all the way. Wouldnt put my money on it though. Looking forward to a good county final and if Lucan win it they will have earned it.

Is the Dublin hurling final really that much of a sure bet that Ballyboden are 4/5 and Lucan are 18/1 to win Leinster?

The betting odds merely reflect the perceived easier passage of the Dublin winners to the provincal final. Mount Leinster Rangers might not go along with that script, and whoever wins Dublin could easely come a cropper there. Boden went to Mullingar a few years ago and escaped by the skin of their teeth against Clonkill.

Oulart and KK should be an epic battle.

I see KK footballers are out this weekend in Leinster, remarkable achievement for the club. Would they have many involved in both codes?

11 players started both the hurling and football county finals. A remarkable achievement considering they don't enter a team in the football league. Although a lot of the players would have won county A champioships growing up and a good few have playerd football for the county at underage

I see Midleton are looking to play their home game versus the Clare champions in Midleton.I hope they are successful. It is a fine venue and as John Fenton says, there would be a cracking atmosphere there. It will be a Cork venue anyway and given that Midleton play most of their championship games in Pairc Ui Chaoimh anyway, the home advantage will almost be the same whereever they play in Cork.

Some achievement for the Kilcormac Killoughey players to be involved in both competitions. Best of luck to them in both.

Apologies turfcutter. I thought you meant the Kilkenny champs by KK, rather than Kilcormac.
