1396719 How much of an effect did the sendings off have, were they deserved? I'm looking forward to the final, hopefully it'll get some decent coverage. Was there much of a crowd at todays game?

None. The Meath number 4 was lucky not to get the line in the first half as was 7 and they both went in the end. Paudie Flynn's red card was with 2 minutes to go and sheer stupidity. Should have just let the man go through on goal when they were 10 up instead on whaling him with the hurley. I thought there was around 500 at the game but another poster seemed to think there was 1500. I was say it was about 500- 750 max. Alot better than previous turnouts.

Would like to watch this game, but will be on holiday in the states. Is there anyway that I can pay to watch the entire game online live?

Thoughts on this? Kerry will be favourites, I suppose, but I certainly give Down a good chance! Roscommon V Donegal & Longford V Warwickshire are also hard to call. Should be 3 evenly matched games - all on the day, I reckon.

Down at 2/1 with Boyles is too big. Roscommon should win easily, Warwickshire have a new Number 6 and 11 from the league and these two, Eamonn Gleeson and Sean Hennessy will make this a very close contest, i still favour Longford to win with Kevin Connelly at 11 been the difference. How good are the 2 new lads for Warwickshire??

I'm told they made a big difference when the sides met in Páirc na hÉireann a few weeks ago. Conneelly's tussle with the centre back could be crucial.

Any idea where these games can be watched online or something. Would love to watch the Down game?

Good luck to all teams participating this weekend - should be a good day out.

What about tv3 or TG4? Are they showing the games?

Nope nobody shows these games anymore. A few years ago u had all 3 finals live on RTE. Now you'll be lucky to get 10 mins highlights of the 3 on the Sunday Game.

Plus this is the final for all these sides, why is season over at start of June??

Seriously think at least they shud put CR winner into qualifiers

'The real 1944' that is actually a brilliant idea with the qualifiers. Especially good from a Kerry perspective as there is not much point in saying let them play in the AI proper next year as they would only get a hiding from whoever they play in Munster!

It is a good idea and one I've mentioned many times in the past as well. I thought it was the only change that needed to be brought to the championship. They could even had brought in a stipulation if the wished that a CR winner would need to go a certain distance in the qualifier like getting to Phase 3 in order to gain full championship status.

As it is, the CR winner from next year will go into a promotion/relegation play-off with the teams finishing 4th in the 5 team provincial qualifier group. In one respect at least, it provides an extra game we've been looking for anyways. I think either of Kerry and Down would fancy there chances against Westmeath or London in a promotion/relegation play-off, as difficult and all as that will be.

@the real 44 Christy Ring Lory Meaghar Nicky Rackard ran off quickley as powers in Croke Park say that it will help local club scene more club games more players come through also if competitions are spread out over 2 or 3 months there will be more money spent due to more training sessions and so on , the gaa suits said that any savings made should be reinvested into underage structures/development or back to improving the clubs

Kerry odds on with bookies is a good omen - huge improvement in Down since the league match when the lads were not used to P Flynn new way of playing and the team wasnt settled - now it is and they have improved by at least 50% since then we have a real shout - Kerry will have improved too so a rip roaring battle ahead for both teams, should be a great match - may the best team win, An dún abu

No TV coverage, it seems the "Irish" TV deadzone times are filled with endless repeats of the Jeremy Kyle show or Britans got talent! these are far more popular with TV3 viewers the station that made Tallaght famous. Meanwhile Setanta fills in their deadzone times with endless repeats of the Dublin Ladies Mini-marthon (which is no bad thing at least they are guaranteed 40,ooo viewers!!).

Surely a TV station (heaven forbid our national one) could send camera's to these venues and show these games on RTE Player or at other times? If RTE can send a camera to O'Toole Park on Sunday 22nd to record highlights of the Dublin v Offaly Senior camogie round 1 championship game surely they can do something similar with these games?

Its a cop out, till then its the Jeremy Kyle show..............................
