53,000 in croker Sunday while at the same stage in 2011 there was 59,000, the Gaa has to do something regarding ticket prices, I know many people from Kildare who didn't travel up because they just couldn't afford it

Be interesting to see what sort of crowd turns up on Sunday. There were just 22,000 last year and 33,000 for Dublin/Kilkenny the year before. Probably be closer to that but can't see huge turn out to be honest.

that is true especially with stand tickets at 35 euro. GAA marketers are non existant. they shouls sell apecial ticket for Dubs to attend both Leinster finals sell them for 50 euro?? at least encourage people to attend

Kildare have slipped since 2011 as was proven by the result so I wonder would that have had a bearing on the attendance.

6 thousand less than 2011 but the same 4 teams were in the semi finals last year and it was 47 thousand so it was up 6 thousand this year.
take into account kildare had the irish dreby festival at the curragh and the irish open golf in maynooth all on the same weekend and the fact that in 2011 kildare fancied there chances of beating dublin where as this year it was a differant story.

35-40 thousand they are expecting as both counties will fancy there chances playing each other where as in previous years they both had to face kilkenny in the final and im sure alot of kilkenny fans expected to win both games and saved the money for the all ireland semi finals in both them years.

Its getting to the stage where I will have to start choosing which games to go to I think. Daughter is more into the football but is going on Sunday. Could be an expensive Summer unless the betting keeps up!

I know they are saying there has been considerable demand for tickets for both Leinster finals but I would be honestly shocked if it was 40,000. Dependson weather I suppose too.

Is Kilkenny so much quicker at seeing opportunities (Peripheral Vision) than other counties? Losing last week in O'Moore Park means they get a share of the gate on Saturday evening and it was always guaranteed to be a sell out against Tipp.

Seems to be a bit of a demand for tickets now. Some outlets no longer selling Hill tickets and good uptake from clubs so whole of Hill may open. Just checked and tickeets.ie are selling Hill tickets for Hill Section 3. Not sure if that is section closest to Cusack?

Two good crowds (Killarney and Croker) and the best atvertisement for both football and hurling was the quality of both. It is a wee bit expensive but still worth it today.
