GAA reduce ticket prices for Leagues

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

"The GAA has announced a reduction in ticket prices for the forthcoming Aliianz League fixtures.

The decision to cut prices was announced at a Central Council meeting last Saturday and will see the cost of admission to a league game in the first and second divisions of the NFL and first division of the NHL dropping from €15 to €13.

A price of €10 will be the entry to Division 3 and Division 4 NFL ties, with a €5 admission to lower-level hurling games."

Sensible in the current climate. €5 for lower tier hurling might help encourage bigger attendances IF it's properly promoted.

What happens to people who bought Div 3 & Div 4 Season tickets? Barely worth their while now.

Ticket price reductions are proper order for all of us in these tough times, but they're not as much as we'd like I'd say. Surely reducing €15 to €10 for the leading divisions would have been more appropriate and drawn bigger crowds. I went to Cavan v Wexford in Breffni with the better half in last year's league, and if memory serves & I'm pretty sure it does, it was €10 back then, so I don't see the reduction there.

The biggest reduction seems to be for lower league hurling but that also appears to be the area of most minimal interest.

disappointing I think, that announcment is probably more for PR purposes, let's hope reductions are more substantial come the championship

€10 was the norm last year for div 3 league games, however once you crossed the border the Ulster boys charged us €12/£10 sterling.

Why do you still find it justifiable to pay for your broadband ballboy? 1065 posts of nonsense would seem to suggest your time and money might be better spent elsewhere.

I see some clubs in meath want the county board to add 5 euro to tickets to give the clubs a slice of it so bit of greed there as some poeple think it is to dear to buy them as it is or struggle . i never had a problem in this thing but others with big family would.
