What's happening with the leagues this year? Are the Point still running with 2 teams? Will Clonduff or Bredagh enter a reserve team? How many will be in Div 1 and Div 2?

clonduff have entered armagh and down leagues. both teams will be fielding from the large panel of players and as there is only one clonduff in each league both will be entered as clonduff. No call for seconds or any other add on to distinguish the teams. As for the Clonduff Reserves they play football.

point reserves are in d2 and have a better chance of winning a game this year, clonduff in d2 armagh ?, that dont surprise me they have made big progress and surly becoming the big hurling noise in southdown , the real hurling developers have done it again, well done boys , if bredagh are entering d2 that is good news also the more teams the better the competiton/leagues.

It must be Bredagh IIs if they are in Div 2.

good to see more teams in the leagues, more unplayed games in the unfinished leagues. Any word on a fixture list or the make up of the leagues, are there 3 divs or still the 2?

I posted this suggestion 2 months ago. Could someone past it on to Sean Rooney and the CCC to consider? I think it would be a better set up than last year now that it seems that Bredagh will enter a IIs team.

If Bredagh entered a 2nds team there would be 18 teams. Why not 3 Divisions of 6? Home and away would give you 10 league games. Surely CCC could fix 10 rounds of fixtures? Then play Joe McCrickard and Betsy Gray in August with SHC, IHC and JHC in September

Div 1
Portaferry IIs
Liatroim
Ballycran IIs
Kilclief
Ballygalget IIs
Shamrocks

Div 2
Ballela
Bredagh
Warrenpoint
Ballyvarley
Ballycran IIIs
Portaferry IIIs

Div 3
Ballygalget IIIs
Castlewellan
Clonduff
Carryduff
Warrenpoint IIs
Bredagh IIs

3 well balenced leagues?

Rubbish - Ballela should be in div 1 and from what I saw of Castlewellan they should be in your division 2. They destroyed ballyvarley in the championship, are back up to div 4 with the point in Ulster and ran wpoint them close enough in JHC final. The Point have had a couple of retirements as lads have quit after finally gettin junior medal. Rumour has it that Clonduff have added to their panel with certain fballers switching to the yellows hurling panel so they could be worth a watching too. Carryduff will be stronger too so if county board can back up the work being done at club level I think standards will rise.

3 divisions would definitely make sense especially as presented by cahill, it would give everyone a fair craic and prevent any huge defeats which are demoralising to teams. Would mean a better chance of all games being fulfilled too. Whats the chances of all games being fulfilled in a 10 team 1st division??

Frank the weather is messing your head ballygalget 3 string should be higher than that after winning the minors last season we should win the old div2 handy

Those 3 leagues are well balanced. I can't see how Ballela should be in Div 1? Bredagh beat them handy in the IHC semi final and would be better in Div 1 than them.

Ballyvarley deserve to be in the new Div 2 after winning the old Div 2 last year. They will have a chance of a good few close games in that set up.

Castlewellan should maybe replace Ballycran or Portaferry IIIs in Div 2 but they can get there by winning Div 3 this year.

Will this proposal be considered by anyone? I think it should be.
