this is my point 2years ago carryduff u14s failed in both the b championship aswell as the b feile... the progress is clear. as for the great man god21s comment, i heard carryduff seniors have a much improved panel this yr and that are a team to look out for !?

Athough i'm biased being a duff man, portaferry were completly outplayed in the first half of the final. A 10 point lead to a non ards team at half time, that's some achievement nevermind the full time score, Maybe portaferry were unlucky to be a man down, but they were very lucky not to have more men walk, 1 red and seven yellows I believe to carryduffs two yellows. I honestly think that the duff played better on the day, I had heard that this portaferry team were streets ahead of everyone else in down, I didnt get that impression from their performance. Fair play to the ports for rallying to score five goals, but to say that they were a far better team is extreme, at least two of the goals dropped in from 65s, sloppy defending but hardly goals created by superior skill. A team that only scores six points is the best in down? How many of them were from frees? I think that the duff were shocked to go in so far ahead at half time against such a highly rated team and for the first period of the second half you could tell that the duff boys thought that they were too far ahead to be caught. The duffs performances against the ards teams in the antrim league were also good. The real test of this team will come at minor in two years time, hopefully they will still be up there competing with the ards boys. Hurling Abu An Dun Abu

"I think the duff were shocked to go in so far ahead" wot kind of statement is that. a team in shock because they are winning, what am i goin to hear next. Portaferry new they had to score goals and what happened. they notched them up. the reason they only scored 6 points was they scored the goals that they needed. admit it lads when the chips were down experiance, skill and confidance won through.

cahill skill did not win at all. i can recall portaferry scored 3-2 from play. Is this champion material? what he means is that cause ports were such strong favourites the team maybe got too excited and carried away with the chance to become the 1st ards team to win u16 a championship and maybe thought they had it won! True on the day port could have finished with less than 14. Anyway that is over this carryduff team can now look ahead to minors !

dhu i think ur total recall is no very good. Mason half folly 12 yards out back o the net, G Oneil unstoppable shot to the roof o the net, Mason follow up flick to the corner, Sands incisive- ball in the top corner, diesel Fitz soloed and out sprinted 2 defenders and cooley placed into the corner game over. points from play, Mageean, A oneill, P Mason (2) job done. trophy on the boat.
if ur lads were that excited leading a match at half time, wot r they not like at Christmas and waiting for Santa. I wounder?

Theres a few fellas doing strength work in a boxing club but its once a month. For the younger fellas coming through but the seniors arnt training. I heard the duff are training twice a week. I dont think theres any harm in people training through the winter if your geeting the numbers out. Fair play to them.
