Hi all, Just looking for your views on bringing back the All Ireland Junior Championship. This would allow very talented players from Junior / Intermediate clubs to represent their counties. Otherwise these players will continue to transfer out of their home clubs to senior clubs in the hope that they make it with their own county. These grades are currently played in LGFA and Camogie Association.

I think the club championships have helped to put the nail in the coffin on this one? With the winning Junior/Intermediate teams getting a shot at provincial and all Ireland glory these days, would a junior county team be attractive?
Limerick reached the all Ireland Junior hurling final in 1986 (lost to Kilkenny) and the all Ireland intermediate hurling final in 1998 (beat Kilkenny). I don't recall the same level of interest in those games as say our U21 3 in a row team 2000-2002.

But aren't those teams in LGFA and Camogie playing other counties first teams? Dont think many want to see Dublin B playing in the Tailteann cup for example which is what Galway for example are doing in the Camoige Intermediate campionship
