No, the point has to be scored I believe.....

Replying To Sindar:  "So this year has seen a few dramatic last minute free kick/puck dramas. Not sure if we can compare hurling and football in the skills required but sure what harm! Let's focus on EQUALISERS though because there is a different pressure on them to winners. So that rules out Sean O'Shea's and Stephen Cluxton's efforts, dramatic and all as they were.
Tony Kelly's sideline puck was unreal and probably slightly ahead of Rian O'Neill´s free v Galway in this years list.

I'm a bit biased I know but I don't think they compare with Derek Duggan's equaliser against Mayo in the 1991 Connacht Final in Castlebar. I was at that game and nobody thought he was actually going to go for it but he just nonchalantly swung a leg at it and off it went. Am I imaging it through rose-tinted glasses, or was it c.65m out against a breeze? Look it up, it is a monster. Bear in mind that it was 31 years ago when players were not as fit and coaching these skills was not where it is at now."
No your not biased. I was there to see it. While it was against us it is one of the stand out memories I have as a young fella going to games. I believe it was the best I've ever seen.

For me in my biased opinion, the two that stand out most are Conor Sweeneys sideline against Limerick in 2020 and Paddy McCormacks free for Tipp minors in this years Munster final.
Considering that Sweeneys kick was a huge factor ensuring Tipp made history in 2020 then I'll go for that. I know a lot wont have seen either but for the sheer importance it has to be up there.
We've been treated to some epic late scores this year and a lot that have seemed unscoreable.

Dean Rock v Mayo in the 2017 final. The standard throughout from both teams, the intensity, tackling and football was on a level I've never seen before or since.
