Congratulations to Offaly too. They beat a Dublin side that won earlier against that Kilkenny side. And not just beat them. Beat them by 9 points.

Fantastic for Offaly and especially Laois, two teir two teams that were in the seeded leinster championship, it will be the first leinster final meeting in any grade between the two of them since 1985 nearly 40 years ago! Westmeath wernt that far away either when you see how well Laois done after. Laois were in the final in 2013 and it only feels like yesterday, the years are flying by!

Congratulations to Laois minors on their win yesterday. A good day for Offaly minors too. Great to see the spotlight on two of the smaller counties for a change. It can only be good for Leinster hurling.

Carlow beat us by 26 points last week so not sure we're that close in reality

Well if Kilkenny were shocked they didn't heed the warning Laois gave us last weekend.
I just hope this final is because Laois and Offaly have raised the bar, rather than us and Kilkenny and Dublin dropping the ball.
We will only know once they arrive at the All-Ireland series.

We won't know anything more from the all Ireland series. Leinster has been miles behind the Munster counties and Galway at minor for most of the last 10 years. Or more. Unless Laois or Offaly win the AI. Then we will know they are better than what Dublin, Kilkenny or us have produced at minor in many years. Apart from 2014 no Leinster county has won minor since 2010. In fact in the last 28 minor AIs Leinster counties, well just Kilkenny, have only won 5 or so.

Munster minor final is on TG4 on Wednesday night so would be very surprising if the Leinster minor hurling final isn't televised too.

Surely has to be question marks over the age of the Laois lads given their size... I'm joking. I watched all of Buff Egans snaps of this game and was extremely impressed that these guys are U17. They look like a fine team and will take stopping for the All Ireland.

Looking forward to Tipp Clare tonight also. Remarakable turnaround for Clare. There was a huge clamour from Clare last year - surely it must have been an over reaction if they turned around things that quickly?

Fantastic for hurling that Laois and Offaly are there in Leinster. Could Covid have levelled the playing field does anyone think? The big counties with all the resources perhaps hasnt mattered as much as training and development squads were practically non existent for large periods, or is that too simplistic and credit should be given to Laois and Offaly for getting up to the level?

Think Laois and Offaly just have really good teams in the grade this year Tiobraid. Certainly this Offaly team have been impressive since at least u14s. People forget Laois have 15 appearances in Leinster minor finals and Offaly 14. Both have won 4 minor titles each.

Thats fair enough. I'd have no real knowledge of Leinster for any of the age groups below minor. Its really fantastic to see for both counties. They both have a min of two more games too to the best of my knoweldge which is fantastic.

The games outside of Leinster will either provide redemption for the rest of the Leinster counties, or will cause deep worries within them.

Offaly were very impressive. Looked early on as though Dublin would over power them but they have some really nice hurlers and their goals were well worked.

Dublin very predictable and you'd have to question the inability of our teams across all grades to change course when the plan is clearly not working! Hopefully whoever wins it will throw a shape outside of Leinster.
