Alternative HS All Star Football Selection'

(Oldest Posts First)

keeper7 (Longford)

MicktheMiller (Offaly) endgame (Roscommon) Ollie2 (Louth)

Htaem (Meath) fainleog (Limerick) Dec82 (Clare)

daytona11 (Kildare) Sligonian (Sligo)

M Lyster (Antrim) wexico15 (Wexford) midlands (Westmeath)

republicofcloone (Leitrim) Malonemagic (Laois) Paul Broderick (Carlow)

I thought I'd post an alternative All Star 15 selection to keep in mind counties that rarely if ever have a realistic chance of a traditional nomination. My Carlow All Star would be Paul Broderick with Sean Gannon being a very close second,
A healthy Christmas to all.

Cheers supersub. I'm only the second Louth man after the great Paddy Keenan to win an All Star.

Thank you very much for your reply Ollie, I have reconnected with a project I started a few years ago, I'm at a cross roads with it at the minute, I do have a few options though. I have lived to see an open draw in the All Ireland senior football championship so I'm happy with that.

The alternative HS All Stars, is to bring awareness to such counties that put in as much if not more work and energy into taking part in NFL and SF championship etc, etc as the top counties.
I nominated Paul Broderick fot the No. 15 jersey I thought it would be ideal if a poster from the other said counties nominated a player to fill the other 14 positions.

The comparison could then be made with the Annual and traditional " All Stars."
I hope this idea of mine makes some sort of sense.
Good health Ollie and Happy Christmas.
