Are UK 'S GAA Followers Treated Unfairly When Major Games Are Shown Live?

As an avid supporter of Gaelic games I find it disheartening that the All Ireland semi-finals and finals are not available to supporters in the UK unless one has a Sky subscription. They are available throughout the whole wide wide world, other than UK, if one is willing to purchase the package offer from GAAGO. And that I happily would do if available here.
I don't have Sky nor ever likely to. Most clubs and pubs that normally would show the games will either not serve food or be uncomfortable places with the numbers wishing to watch the games. Those conditions rule those options out for me.
I find it very sad the GAA that I have supported all my life is beholden to Sky. I remain convinced that Sky's interest in Gaelic games extends to no more than cherry picking a few major games. But from the GAA in Croke Park I would hope for better but I feel disillusioned with their take on things.
So many young people here will not be going back to Ireland as they are respecting the seriousness of Covid 19. Bear in mind there will be Irish people here experiencing loneliness and living in a room on their own who would find some solace if they had the games to look forward but will be unable to because of GAA HQ's deals. Those people who make the GAA deals might try living in an isolated room on their own on Christmas Day to experience what it is like..
I suspect Croke Park has a ready answer to my concerns i.e. sponsorship deals, blah blah. None of them wash for me. Shame on you Croke Park for accepting Sky's manna when GAA supporters in UK deserve better. .

Agree with your post have purchased gaago for past 4 years whilst living away. Whilst a great service that helps shorten many a Saturday or Sunday watching games from home it is disappointing to need sky account for big games.
I personally use now tv and can always buy a day pass to watch games and then cancel although not ideal is at least an alternative.
Hopefully they can get around this for UK subscribers in future.

to be fair to Sky they are showing all GAA games on Sky Sports Mix, this is a channel you did need the Sky Sports subscription for, but you do need to have Sky TV. For some reason Box Nation have been showing the games recently, no idea how that works, days of lads boxing the heads of each other in GAA matches is long gone.
Iv been watching on Sky Mix and in general I find Sky superior to RTE in its analysis. Jamesie o Connor is fantastic. Now I recognise that not everyone in the UK has sky but a hell of alot of us do have it. I think its better that RTE don't have a monopoly anymore..
