Luke McGlynn's late 1-1 salvo proved the difference as Donegal edged Armagh in this evening's Ulster MFC semi-final at Healy Park.

Extra-time looked a distinct possibility in Omagh before the Tir Chonaill County captain struck for the last two scores of the game to put his side through to a first provincial final at this level in five years, it finished: 1-6 to 0-5.

Played in unsuitable weather conditions, the opening 20 minutes produced just one score as Armagh led 0-1 to 0-0 thanks to Rhys Stevens.

A burst of scoring towards the end of the first-half then gave the Orchard County a 0-4 to 0-2 interval lead, with points from Stevens, Cianan Campbell and Fergal O’Brien.

Oisin Caulfield split the posts on 54 minutes to hand Donegal the lead for the first time at 0-5 to 0-4 as scores remained at a premium.

Luke McKeever regained parity for Armagh but his namesake McGlynn had the final say.
