Belturbet beat Readhills by 3 pts in Breffni this afternoon. I think the score was 1-12 to 12 points. It was a very poor game ! Any other results from today ? Bogmanstand (Cavan) - Posts: 41 - 26/07/2009 20:29:39 362940 Link 0 |
Was at the Gaels v Ballinagh game Saturday night.Gaels were outstanding.Gaynor up to his old tricks. He barked up the wrong tree this time.Unfortunately Rabbit may be out for a couple of weeks but he'll come back stronger(if thats possible) and fitter. eyeball (Cavan) - Posts: 85 - 27/07/2009 09:40:12 363533 Link 0 |
ballinagh were a disgrace sat nite in mullahoran.there is no place in cavan football for the way both the club and supporters carry on...the county board really need to consider the future of this club or if they have a future at all.. gaelsutd (Cavan) - Posts: 602 - 27/07/2009 12:03:46 363777 Link 0 |
Well Gaels Utd ur being a bit childish now, from a neutrals point of view I saw the Incidient where the Cavan Gaels full back was throwing punches at gaynor (Didn't see wot happened beforehand)whilst he lay on the ground deserved a red and he seems like no angel, Anthony forde the shannon geals man in search of some medals running up the field waving and jeering was very unsporting to say the least. young carroll got sent off seemed to loose his cool, i saw nothing wrong with either supporters bit of arguing in the stand but was funny, at half time i also noticed some Gaels guys were trying to fight on the way into the dressing rooms but were held back so PPl in Glass houses shouldn't throw stones!! Unfair to tarnish all Ballinagh with the one brush, I have seen the supporters from Ballinagh come regularly to Breffni Park at all levels and 98% of their supporters are loyal respectful supporters. Let me say no different from other supporters for you will always have the loony few, just sit in the stand in Breffni Park or any park and you will hear them this I guarantee for sure. I think however it is time now to deal with repeat offenders from and club any really either ban them completely from all GAA grounds and from being members of any club. Now lads there is one lad with Ballinagh and I am sorry to say people go to see what happens to him and feck the game. I feel that the person in question has loads to offer to the game and if looked after will get his game in order and I think it is time someone took him under their wing, now please don't turn this post into a slagging match for I am just giving my own opinion. I hope sooner rather than later that all this will be sorted. Sean The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4602 - 27/07/2009 13:21:23 363984 Link 0 |
d dude,a neutral point of view?ive never heard anyone harp on about a team as much in my life, you never stop defending ballinagh,i dont believe for one minute that your a neutral. Dougal (Cavan) - Posts: 543 - 27/07/2009 13:55:54 364083 Link 0 |
I hear it's an open draw for the quarter finals this year. What's that about? Don't agree with it myself. Bozo (Cavan) - Posts: 58 - 27/07/2009 14:42:34 364193 Link 0 |
Dougal u never heard anyone harp as much about any club, well to b honest Dougal i usually only reply to topics about the current county set up its my main interest, i was just giving my point of view of wot i saw at the match, so I dont know where u get ur ideas from D_Dude (Cavan) - Posts: 360 - 27/07/2009 15:28:55 364337 Link 0 |

Denn will win nothing this year and will probably be relegated from div 1, Gaels will take beaten in the championship good all over the pitch chesty a very good player as is young Dunne conrner forward, castlerahan could b the surprise packet!! d dude, your posts dont go unnoticed.you believe that we shud cut the deadwood from the county panel.i believe thats one of your opinions?i dont miss much on here. neutal? D_Dude County: Cavan Posts: 187 222684 Ballinagh are not a bad side and as the 2 teams play a good brand of football ballinagh always seem put it up to them, Gaels have some very good footballers as do ballinagh. But have to say on their day the nagh are as good as any team in the county, not trying to blow them up or anything but they have proven this in the past, the gaels are by far the best side in Cavan and ballinagh aren't that far behind them they only thing about the gaels in the have a much bigger pick of players. I await the cynical replies D_Dude County: Cavan Posts: 187 222914 Keanocavan the gaels r no way strides ahead of Ballinagh if they were they would be winning Back to back Ulster Club Championships real world here young man. When was the last time Cavan Gaels Beat Ballinagh now?? If there so much better than them why can't they beat em????? Simple answer is there not just some young immature arrogant people on here who don't have a clue think the geals r brilliant but their just an average club side playing in one of the weakest counties in Ireland!! D_Dude County: Cavan Posts: 187 223382 Well if Ballinagh r a Junior club they contested the all Ireland intermediate last year won the DIV 1 LEAGUE the year before beating the GAELs on the way. AH yes I have been around for the last ten years and Ive seen Cavan Football Deteriote since we won the ULster in and once Cavans Gaels keep winning senior championships the standard of footballl will stay as one of the weakest in Ireland. Cavan Gaels players yes very skillfull and have a much bigger pick than Ballinagh, but i| don't begrudge them at all as I am a man of the world and Judging from ur comments ur very backward and lack general common sense comparing club GAA football in one of the most rural counties in Ireland to premier league football which is in fact soccer. LOOK at the bigger picture MRKeanoc where has CAVAN GAA gone in the last ten years backways and Ballingh won the Ulster Intermediate not bad for a Junior Club is it Cavan gaels keep get beat in ULster if there so good why does this happen, if cavan gaels r so class why is our counnty team one of the weakest in Ireland. I await ur answers!! D_Dude County: Cavan Posts: 187 224299 Yes cause he is not a natural full back and shouldn't b playing there anyone would tell u that. Don't start trying to put Cavans GAA problems back on to ballinagh Football Cavan is really bad at the minute and the county board need to get their thinking caps on to try ann revive it, I understand the gaels play a really nice and stylish way of Football If only there were more teams in Cavan playing this brand of football the standard would improve imensley, all down to the coaching under age ... D_Dude County: Cavan Posts: 187 242425 Warrior wot u on about Cucullains and Ballinagh r prob some of the stronger teams in this division and Laragh r not even in division 1, although the standard Ballinaghs games r all away they should finsh in the top half of the table. HOWs all in MAAAAAyyyoooooo how many times did you defend them?look whether you support them as your first team or not,you clearly have a soft spot for them so i wouldnt count you as a neutral. was away last weekend so saw no football, just looking for feedback from anybody who was at any of the senior chmpionship matches, seen results didnt tink the gaels wud beat ballinagh by that much and gud wins for castlerahan, killygarry, belturbet and mullahorn, thought ramor wud of bet cuchullins but read the were lucky to get a draw,so can anybody tel me about butterfingers (Cavan) - Posts: 11 - 28/07/2009 15:45:34 366340 Link 0 |
Lacken lost to Killygarry as we had no one capable of coping with Martin Reilly. It wasn't a great showing from our lads compared with the narrow defeat to Kingscourt. I was also at the Denn victory against Kingscourt. Denn played to their strengths whereas Kingscourt look weakened by the players they were missing, injured or otherwise. The group is wide open as any 2 of Denn, Killygarry or Kingscourt can qualify but from our point of view, we want to beat Denn to have some form for our relegation playoff matches so they won't just turn up & beat us if they want to qualify. wildcard (Cavan) - Posts: 23 - 28/07/2009 19:28:01 366956 Link 0 |
