just in from breffni....2 very different games....... denn totally outclassed, outplayed and outfought mullahorn from start to finish all over the field..... ok the gunner wasnt fully fit but even if he was it would'nt have made a difference......... killygarry got off to the dream start scoring 1-1 in the first 2 mins but that was that..... gaels put doc collins as a sweeper and it was close up shop time..... killygarry's only plan was to kick it into martin reilly and hope for the best..... think he was der only scorer and they never scored in the 2nd half....... eoin smith had walsh in his a pocket the whole game..... switchin him and nelligan was the move as he won every ball that went into him..... going to be a tight enough final but the gaels will still have that bit too much for denn.......
1 other point, im the first person to criticise a ref but i have to say the quality of refereein tonight in both games was excellent..... micky lee was especially good...well done son..

Denn

Well looking in from the outside they must be, on a resources to championship performance basis, the best Club in Cavan. If Cavan Gaels could get as much out of the talent at their disposal they would have a couple of Ulster Clubs to their name and the county team would not have gone 12 years since their last Ulster title.

Best of luck in the final, it's their for you.

Will Tom Carr bring some of the Denn influence to the county panel later on this year or is their training just a bit to much for superstars presently wearing the Blue?

I would say no for did he not drop the only player with passion because he wanted to try and get his home team playing to stay in dicvision 1.
By the way Denns game last night I notice no Criticism of their performance reason being they played once again to there strength and are now in the Final, good luck to them and lets hope for a good final. Sean

Have to take your hat off to Denn, although they bet us earlier in the championship. They have tremendous hunger which is a major factor in any championship game no matter if its junior A/senior club/ or the All ireland final today. If a team does not have that they will be shown up eventually no matter how good of players they possess. Mullahorn looked very ordinary and if you took eddie out of their team i just don't know where the threat would come from for scores. They hit countless aimless balls into the heart of the denn defence which played right into their hands as they hoovered up all the breaks. Gunner should not of come on as you could see from the first ball he kicked he was struggling, hope it does not hamper his handball now in a few weeks. Best of luck to Denn, they do the simple things right. Cahill was very good, never gives a ball away, kicks great passes and scores with either foot, something alot of the county panel forwards cannot do plus he plays with serious heart & determination.
Second game was always gonna be one outcome, although killygary got a great start and but for some poor shooting could have been 1-4 to 1 up after 10minutes or so, they would of needed this lead as the gaels were always gonna have too much possession and better players for them. Gaels were pretty good, they are not as good as they were a few years back i don't think. They have a serious panel of players though which is a bonus. Hope Denn put it up to them in the final.

well begby it isn't the pleyer in question is living in ballinagh for the last 15-20 years and is a true ballinagh gaa man has never played for any other club in cavan unlike some where i attended a game sat evening and saw a shannon gaels man in a cavan gaels jersey giving the kilygarry no11 serious abuse. No need for that ita all about aportmanship as I saw sunday in the all ireland final between cork and kerry a tough high intensity game played with pure sportmanship throughout maybe some gaels players should take a leaf out of the top dogs books

"just cos (because) it looks that way on de (the) telly (tele) son dosent (doesn't) that thats (that's) what happens" is that what you're trying to say? I didn't know d dude was a sibling of yours. Then again, you're "macdaddy".

theirs a lot of young children at these games my simple typo has nothing got to do with it theirs no need for roaring and cursing at players fromthe opping team now no need for personal attacks at me how do we exprect to have a good county team when we have players verbally abusing each other at club championship level, don't mind a bit of hard hitting but verbal abuse in a championship semi final in front of a crowd is low behaviour seen none of this in the denn v mullahorean game just hard hitting one team letting their football do the talking

430320 Both Lyng and Forde live in Cavan Town therefore they are entitled to play for there local Gaa club. Also If you look at the history books you would find out that two of the best footballers Cavan have ever produced played for more than one club in their playing days. They include Mick Higgins and the Gallant John Joe Reilly.

lyng may live in the town but forde certainly does not. he actually lives in laragh as i have relations there and he lives next door so sergeant please explain this?? so why does he play with the gaels as there is 3 clubs between where he lives and the team hes with.

Forde lived in Cavan Town for a few years before he moved to Laragh. Theres no need to switch club when you move a short distance and theres only one club in Cavan Town and thats the Gaels.
