Should Cavan posters have an Xmas bash

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Should we Cavan posters have a little Xmas function.
It could be arranged in some place that would serve up a meal for a small fee.
Perhaps we could take in our old enemy from Meath for such a gathering.
It would be great to met my old friend on the board Mr Cavan Slasher .
As I read his cutting posts |I wonder what the man behind such disparging remarks is like.

I would love to attend this bash Tom but is the drink free. I hear Donal is a very decent man and wont accept money of anyone.

1. - I think you have the capacity to organise it, who else could meet your standards.

2. - Expect everyone

Yes Kingspan it would make for an interesting evening if say every poster that does not use his proper name , had his alias and his best tread written on his/her lapel

Well wishfullthinkin at least I have the guts/ability to creat a post .
I must admit that I placed my stall out and described Donall Keogan as a legend.
History will judge the man, and I hope that it will be kind to his detractors.

D.K. has already been judged Tom, i.e. not fit to continue as manager. No need to wait for history as he is now history.

Slasher/foolsgold, I wonder how long will it be before ye are writhing the same words about the same incumberant after he has gone up past the county line at whitegate.

Foolsgold and slasher both of you have sidetracked this post from what it was intended ie a Christmas bash for posters

TomSmith, Will you be dressing up as Santa and giving out gift-wrapped ham sandwiches at this bash.? I think you are on to a winner with this and it would make for a great night. You could even hire a band and we all could have a great sing-song and a prize for whoever gives the best rendition of "The Gallant John-Joe". Everyone to wear their county jerseys and nametags though.
