Good idea and they should organise a mini bus to go around and pick everyone up and then leave them home afterwards and throw in a couple of free drinks at the bar as well. Strutter (Cavan) - Posts: 52 - 11/09/2008 16:11:30 98240 Link 0 |

A fantastic idea, the logistics of it would be very difficult to manage though. 80,000 + people couldnt fit in anywhere bad.monkey (USA) - Posts: 4678 - 11/09/2008 16:41:45 98274 Link 0 |

Perhaps you should write to them Tom. Also ask them about putting us up in their hotel as well, after all it would only be fair.! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 12/09/2008 13:36:50 98811 Link 0 |

Gentlemen and ladies in your anxiety to attach me your missed my point which was that the GAA to serve up a meal for country fans. tomsmith (Cavan) - Posts: 4163 - 13/09/2008 00:20:20 99304 Link 0 |

Tom my man - I am disappointed by your countymen not trying to ATTACH themselves to you. "Forgive them for they know not what they do" and all that. Notwithstanding their lethargy, although I felt some of them were gently trying to ATTACK/tease you, you have one great idea here. I'm sure you have developed the train of thought out here - it's no good running to Minister Smith and seeking a sort of "Disadvantaged Area" subsidy scheme. You should get the bus Tom, you'll be able to have your Tea and Sambo in peace and you will be doing your bit for the environment as well. And just wondering how many Churches in Dublin have halls and how would you propose to fit the 80,000 people into them? I think you are starting too big, you should get your hero DK to give free drinks to everyone who goes to a club game in Cavan as a pilot & if that works I'll back you 100% in your global domination push... wishfulthinkin (Cavan) - Posts: 1750 - 15/09/2008 11:02:45 99855 Link 0 |

Wishfulthinking now hold on, now all 80,000 are from the country. tomsmith (Cavan) - Posts: 4163 - 15/09/2008 13:44:33 100044 Link 0 |

to be honest tomsmith if you could get your hero DK to give free drinks in his niteclub, I'd be more than happy, nevermind free drinks at matches! Big Iano (Cavan) - Posts: 188 - 15/09/2008 19:08:38 100379 Link 0 |

With all the Cavan men that ave Pub/eating houses in Dublin would it be possible that someone could organise a meal and service for the brethren on match days tomsmith (Cavan) - Posts: 4163 - 16/09/2008 18:47:47 101153 Link 0 |

A Cavan man has undertaken to provide a meal for travelling fans at an eatery in the North side of the city on All Ireland day for a modest fee. tomsmith (Cavan) - Posts: 4163 - 18/09/2008 18:50:55 102759 Link 0 |
