Castletown's Declan Cribben celebrates

There was silverware handed out in all four provinces earlier today (Saturday) as the provincial club hurling and football championships get set wrap up this month.

Galway clubs Dunmore MacHales and Clifden were victorious in the Connacht intermediate and junior football finals respectively, while the Leinster intermediate football decider saw Morgen Ellis’s first-half goal crucial in a 1-15 to 2-11 win for St Mogues Fethard of Wexford over Meath’s Dunshaughlin.

The junior football final in the eastern province saw Meath champions Castletown reign supreme against St Abban’s Adamstown by six points and goals were the difference in the Ulster intermediate hurling decider as Down’s Liatroim defeated Middletown (Armagh) by the same margin.
