The Offaly senior football championship is down to its knock-out stages following today’s results across the Faithful County.
Holders Tullamore cruised to a 2-14 to 0-6 victory over Cappincur earlier today to seal their place straight into the competitions semi-finals, as did 30-time champions Rhode with a 2-13 to 0-5 win against Clara.
They now await the winners of the quarter-finals where Ferbane will take on Clara and Edenderry face Shamrocks.
Incidentally, Ferbane had a 3-14 to 3-11 victory against Shamrocks earlier today in a game which was held up by an injury and both have advanced through as two of the last six teams remaining.
