Brendan Cummins saved his club Ballybacon/Grange from relegation for the second year-in-a-row on Saturday.

The 47-year-old goalkeeping great scored a last-gasp free from inside his own half to give the south Tipperary club a dramatic 2-14 to 0-19 IHC relegation semi-final victory over Ballinahinch. A second half goal by Luke O'Brien was also crucial to Ballybacon/Grange's survival.

Cummins is making a habit of keeping Ballybacon/Grange in the intermediate ranks, having scored 10 points and saved three penalties in a penalty shootout win over Arravale Rovers in last year's IHC relegation semi-final.

Meanwhile, the Tipperary SHC semi-final pairings are Kiladangan v Drom & Inch and Upperchurch Drombane v Kilruane MacDonagh. In the Premier IHC semi-final draw, Roscrea were paired with Burgess and St Mary's with Gortnahoe-Glengoole.
