Clare's GAA clubs have unanimously agreed to initiate a strategic review with the ultimate aim of developing a five-year plan for the Association in the Banner County.

A motion from the Eire Og club seeking the establishment of an independent committee to chart a way forward received the backing of both the clubs and the County Board Executive at an online meeting last night.

It was agreed that there should be one County Board officer on the newly-formed committee and that will be vice-chairman Kieran Keating.

The terms of reference and make-up of the committee will be finalised at the March meeting of the County Committee.

As per the Eire Og motion, is is expected that the committee will focus on ‘finance and fundraising, optimisation of Caherlohan, Coaching and Games Development, Governance, PR, Marketing and Social Media’.
