Fireworks on Halloween

There were tricks and treats aplenty behind closed doors today as the SFC got up and running while the SHC and Joe McDonagh Cups continued unabated!

High winds beating a mantra across the land, the 2020 senior football championship commenced in dramatic fashion with the Ulster SFC preliminary-round derby clash of Cavan and Monaghan at Clones (1:15) while, in Munster, Waterford welcomed Limerick to Dungarvan at 7pm.

A huge Leinster SHC semi-final double-bill took place at Croke Park - Kilkenny V Dublin at 3:45 followed by the meeting of defending champions Wexford and Galway at 6:15. Meanwhile, a place in the Munster SHC final was also up for grabs at Thurles, where Cork and Waterford collided at 3:30.

In Round Two of the Joe McDonagh Cup, Westmeath hosted Kerry and Antrim travelled to Dr Cullen Park to face Carlow.
