I have been on this web for a while now but by god junior seems to be the hot topic this last two years . I myself in the past just read the hogan stand but seeing all this junior talk and being from a senior club didn't get the fuss and definitely won't any time soon I never have went to many junior games in my life but I attended the Éire óg VS Aghabog emmets QF league and I won't be in a hurry back. Corduff makes me laugh Id have to disagree Senior- scotstown or ourselves are the only team within touching distance of them(iniskeen) Intermediate- widest open its ever been harps/carrick with Killany clones donaghmoyne ..: don't think blayney have it in them to do it their team looks very average Junior- should be emyvale but from what I hear eire og Seans aghabog will all push along with blackhill Iniskeenstigator (Monaghan) - Posts: 9 - 17/07/2025 00:20:42 2626204 Link 0 |
Oram will be lucky to get out of their group, a quater final would be a decent year for them.

Killevan over the last 3/4 years would do well to have won 6 games never mind push for intermidiate.

Within junior then, does anyone see emeyvale slipping up and not winning the double. Who is the closest team, an Eire og with Leonard? Sean's with kearns back?, An Aghabog team that if they get it together for champo or a seasoned blackhill outfit? Clubman57 (Monaghan) - Posts: 5 - 17/07/2025 08:34:20 2626211 Link 0 |
I think Inniskeen have missed the boat, their chance was to do it in the last few years, cant see them pushing on now after loosing Durnin.

If you think scotstown are the no 1 team in the county, then corduff are definitely the best of the rest . Gaels1989 (Monaghan) - Posts: 13 - 17/07/2025 10:06:44 2626224 Link 0 |
Maybe that's your thoughts but from inside the club from what I see with woods firing a few lads injured and with everyone back in champo we'll be there abouts we r second after scotstown I don't get this corduff hype…

Corduff very well might win the league but don't come near championship conversation look what happened last year Intermediate I think will be a killannyvs clones/harps final Junior SEANS Emyvale final Iniskeenstigator (Monaghan) - Posts: 9 - 17/07/2025 14:38:02 2626267 Link 0 |
Some amount of new profiles over the last week. Some on to promote themselves. Laughable farneygael3 (Monaghan) - Posts: 296 - 17/07/2025 14:50:51 2626272 Link 0 |

Senior- scotstown iniskeen Cremartin/ possibly annaghmullen or maybe Ballybay if they don't get their acts together Intermediate- Carrick harps Toome/Tyholland/drumhowan relegation Junior- Seans emyvale Can't say I know a lot but surely emyvale should walk the junior championship However, Blackhill aghabog eire og all could have a say from what I hear Iniskeenstigator (Monaghan) - Posts: 9 - 18/07/2025 10:21:13 2626350 Link 0 |
What suggests that harps will beat blayney out the gate?

Seans with kearns I would imagine would be the next strongest outfit.

Blayney haven't a hope. Living on past glories and underage structure is a mess. That's it you were to believe The Hoganstand experts

Absolutely, if you averaged out results and number of wins over the last 5/10 years probably would rank as the worst club in the county at adult level, you don't go from that to a top end intermediate too easy.

I don't get where you have the shame and audacity to speak about killeevan gaa like that with the success and talent we've had over the years Another thing I said we're missing some key key men that a lot of men on here wouldn't know about a few top quality players that would start for most teams in the county through injury and not in country So in fact yes I would say we'd go too a top end intermediate team with everyone available junior wouldn't live with our sheer quality and size Thesarsfields1975 (Monaghan) - Posts: 11 - 19/07/2025 09:47:26 2626505 Link 0 |
A lot of Ifs in there. If Scotstown had a few more transfers in they'd have a few Ulster medals but they don't. Just like killeevan aren't a top intermediate team.
