All the talk about mayo letting in tipp for goals for god sake they went 20 points up with 20 minutes to go in reality the game was over at halftime. Why would mayo show all there hand when the game was dead and buried

Replying To tiobraid:  "Easy win on the cards for Dublin. No doubt they will see how Tipp opened up Mayo for goal chances and try to exploit the weaknesses of Barrett and Keegan in particular in full back line, never mind getting their half back line turned. Rock and Kilkenny to shoot the lights out.
Dublin 2-23
Mayo 0-15"
Mayo will surely be a lot tighter at the back today than against Tipp. They were never going to lose to Tipp.Very different story today.

Can see nothing only a very easy routine win for the Dubs here. Mayo have too many new unproven guys starting , their midfield is not up to required level , their kick out will be dismantled again and up front far to reliant on Cillan. Young Conroy won't count and unfortunately Aidan o Shea can't really perform in all Ireland finals.
Dubs 3-16. Mayo 0-11.

Here's hoping for a good game. If Mayo needed any extra motivation, they can surely take it from the fact they nobody really gives them a chance today.

I would like to see Mayo finally end their All-Ireland famine and given the bizarre year we've had it would almost be fitting if they do it in an empty Croker but fairytales aside it's very hard to see anything but a Dublin win.

Replying To Dubh_linn:  "My opinion is no more biased than yours.
I've already stated that the championship is in need of restructuring so not sure what you are referring to there.
Maybe you'd prefer David Hickey said all the nice thing we hear in most interviews so everyone could be happy."
You couldn't miss the point anymore if you tried. My point was the likes of David Hickey thinks everyone is out to run Dublin down. That's nonsense as i already said. I don't care what he says if it's true but his interview was pure cringe and he didn't even have his facts right. You seem to think he spoke the truth and everyone is outraged. That isn't the case. And the pop at Mick O Dwyer amongst others. Pure daft.

Would be great to have a close final but I see Dublin winning comfortably, 8 to 12 point range. Going out on a limb with that prediction I know...

That's fine. If you think it's cringe then but maybe it's based in frustration with the lack of respect shown to guys who have worked their backsides off and have to listen to put downs and accusations about the reasons they are successful by those who see what they are achieving as artificially assisted.
Maybe try reading between the lines aswell as what you see on the page.

Watching the pre match analysis on RTE, I see the wardrobe department must have raided the Showaddwaddy gear.

Replying To CiarraiMick:  "David Hickey has done alot of good in his life and has had alot of personal tragedy. However he has been bitter since his playing days. I remember years back he was giving out about everything and anything. He looks at the gaa world through blue tinted glasses and can be very offensive to everyone else. I know he s had a hard time but I would nt be his biggest fan for a long time."
That's absolutely fine. If he isn't your cup of tea don't pay any attention to him.
It was brought to our attention otherwise a lot less people would know about it. I certainly wouldn't have.

Can Ger Canning get any more fawning over Dublin? It's just embarrassing.

Well it was a Dublin pal that told me about it but I saw it on examiner afterwards.

Great game so far. Mayo really putting pressure on the Dubs. O'Callaghan is very strong for the Dubs but Mayo doing well on the kick outs.

Every time it's forced long it's lost. The myth is being busted.

Honestly,,, conceding a goal after 13 seconds of an all Ireland final.
Mayo conceded early goals in 2012 and 2017 too.
Good game though.

Mayo are working their arses off so it'll be interesting to see what's left in the tank for the last 15 or so minutes.
If they can last the pace they have a real chance.
I can see more goals though.

David Goldrick is doing his best for Mayo anyway, gave them a few very handy frees, I thought Cillian O'Connor was lucky not to see a yellow card after that late hit on Fenton.
Great intensity from Mayo, strange game without the fans, lot of passing errors and giving the ball away from both teams, Dublin down to 14 men now for the next 10 mins so it's time for Mayo to make hay. great viewing.
