Cian Lynch is set to make his return to action off the Limerick bench in Saturday’s Allianz Hurling League opener against Cork.

Two-time 'Hurler of the Year' Lynch missed last July’s All-Ireland SHC final victory over Kilkenny and has been waiting to make his return for the Treaty men, which is likely to happen tomorrow evening at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Manager John Kiely has named seven of the side that featured in last summer’s final triumph over the Cats.

Captain Declan Hannon makes his first appearance of the year at centre-back, while Glenroe’s David McCarthy makes his first league start between the posts.

Throw-in is at 7.30pm.
