Glen will meet Kilcoo in the Ulster club SFC semi-finals after seeing off the 13 men of Scotstown by 1-18 to 0-12 at Celtic Park earlier today.

Danny Tallon’s late goal sealed the deal for the Derry champions after brothers Kieran and Darren Hughes had both been sent off in the second-half for their Monaghan counterparts.

The points of Paul Gunning (two frees), Conor Glass and Emmet Bradley (free) were what saw Malachy O’Rourke’s men pull away in the latter stages of the first-half to lead by 0-11 to 0-6 at the break.

Kieran Hughes received his marching orders within three minutes of the restart for Scotstown and, despite the points of Jack Doherty and Conor McDevitt, they’d still get some rhythm going as Damian McArdle (2), Shane Carey (free) and Matthew Maguire hit points that made it a three-point game with 15 minutes to go.

A Bradley free was backed up by Conor McCarville’s point to steady the Glen ship however and they’d increase the lead to six again before Darren Hughes’ dismissal and Tallon’s goal that ensured a nine-point margin in the end.
