O'Hora vacates Roscommon ladies post

Diane O'Hora

Roscommon are on the lookout for a new ladies football manager after Diane O'Hora stepped down after less than a year in charge.

A 1-7 to 3-8 defeat to Laois last weekend meant that the Rossies missed out on a place in this year's All-Ireland intermediate championship quarter-finals after coming within a whisker of reaching last year's final when O'Hora was also at the helm.

O'Hora captained Mayo to their first All-Ireland senior ladies title in 1999 before going on to win three more All-Ireland medals. Before taking charge of Roscommon, she steered Down to an All-Ireland intermediate crown in 2014 and Longford to a Leinster intermediate title. She also had a spell as Meath boss.
