Maynooth University claimed the Colleges Senior League Division 1 title (Ryan Cup) in dramatic fashion last night with a 1-7 to 0-9 win over UCD at DCU Sportsgrounds. Castleknock’s  Darragh Warnock kicked the winner deep in injury time.

There was a big Meath interest in the final refereed by David Gough. 

Dunshaughlin’s Ciaran McCarrick (corner back) and Ruairi Kinsella (centre forward ) played leading roles for the winners.

UCD included Curraha’s Diarmuid Moriarty (midfield) and Sean Coffey (half forward) in their ranks.

McCarrick and Kinsella will line out for Dunshaughlin the the Leinster Club IFC final against St. Mogue’s of Fethard this Saturday at Chadwick’s Wexford Park.
