Kerry bounced back from their opened weekend defeat to Donegal by brushing aside Monaghan with a 3-16 to 0-14 victory in Killarney this afternoon.
Having led 0-10 to 0-6 at the half, the All-Ireland champions netted their goals via Darragh Roche, Paudie Clifford and Donal O’Sullivan to seal the points.
Fresh off helping his native Fossa to All-Ireland glory alongside his brother David, Clifford’s wonder goal came just minutes after being introduced as a substitute and saw him race some 60 metres with possession before dispatching the ball to the Farney men’s net.
