Scene is set for Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Championship

Dromore will host the Spirit of Paul McGirr Ulster Under-16 Club Championship semi finals.

The 2025 Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Championship gets underway this Saturday, November 15 with the preliminary round meeting of Four Masters (Donegal) and Bellaghy (Derry) in Dromore at 12 noon.

The first two quarter-finals will follow on Sunday. Featuring the U16 football champions of all nine Ulster counties, the tournament was first staged in 1999 by the Dromore St. Dympna’s club in memory of Paul McGirr, who tragically passed away following a collision while scoring a goal for Tyrone against Armagh in an Ulster MFC game against two years earlier.

All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the ‘Spirit Of Paul McGirr Trust’.
