Former Kerry star Aidan O'Mahony is releasing his autobiography in October.

The five-time All-Ireland winning defender will share his life story through the memoir which is entitled 'Unbroken' and will be on general sale from October 14.

According to the publisher Hachette Ireland, the book is "a story of mental strength, physical fitness and the power of adversity." In it, O'Mahony reflects on his many sporting achievements and on becoming the first Gaelic footballer to test postive for a banned substance in 2008, for which he was later cleared when it was ruled that he had only used his asthma inhaler for medical purposes.

The 41-year-old garda from Rathmore also looks back on his win on the RTÉ TV show 'Dancing With The Stars' in 2017.
