The Ryder Cup hadn't even started and a GAA jersey popped up in the crowd...

Devon Morley from Oughterard, Co. Galway, and, who is on a golf scholarship in the University of Louisville, was spotted before tee off in Wisconsin wearing his county jersey and holding aloft the tricolour in support of the strong Irish contingent in the Padraig Harrington captained Team Europe.

In fairness, it's usually the famous green and gold of Kerry that can be seen at these major sporting events - the Kingdom have a proud tradition of being represented at the US Masters at Augusta National in Georgia.

Not to mention the Euro 2020 semi-final between Italy and Spain when the iconic 'Kerry group' jerseys belonging to twins Seamus and Niall O’Connor were spotted behind the goal.

What's more, their fellow Brosna man Paul Walsh presented Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho with a Kerry jersey and played 'keepy uppy' with the former Barcelona star in Rio De Janeiro recently.

With 28 matches taking place across three days, a Kerry one could turn up at Whistling Straits yet...
