Cuala's David Treacy signals for a point

David Treacy struck for 0-15 as Cuala secured their second win of this year’s Dublin senior hurling championship at Na Fianna’s expense yesterday evening.

It finished 1-25 to 2-15 at Parnell Park, where goals from Sean Baxter and Dublin ace Donal Burke had Na Fianna leading by 2-7 to 0-10 late in the first-half.

However, the points of Treacy, Jake Malone and David Treacy saw Cuala go in level at half-time (0-13 to 2-7) and it remained airtight up until the closing five minutes in the capital.

Treacy’s free had it at 0-20 to 2-14 before Mark Schutte saw a shot at goal saved and Liam Murphy tucked in the rebound for the Dalkey outfit.

Burke pulled back a free for Na Fianna but Treacy (2), Niall Carty and Schutte sailed over the points to ensure their side’s seven-point victory in the end.
