Fermanagh secured the 2021 Lory Meagher Cup this evening by seeing off neighbours Cavan at Croke Park with 15 points to spare.

There had been no separating the sides during the opening half-hour and it was a goal from Tom Keenan (3-2) that provided the breakthrough for Fermanagh in the 33rd minute.

Philip Brady pulled back a goal for the Breffni men but they’d trail at the interval by 1-12 to 1-8.

Keenan netted again early in the restart to further dash Cavan’s hopes of an inaugural success in this competition and when he registered his hat-trick 17 minutes later, the Ernesiders Nickey Rackard Cup status was sealed as they pulled up winning on a 3-26 to 1-17 scoreline in the end.
