Nemo Rangers stayed on course for their 23rd Cork senior football championship with a 1-16 to 0-9 victory over Ballincollig this afternoon.
Luke Connolly’s 43rd minute penalty sent the winners on their way in this semi-final clash at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, where they had led by 0-7 to 0-5 at the half.
Conor Horgan (2) and Barry O’Driscoll increased the Nemo lead with points before Mark Cronin was dragged down in the Ballincollig square and Connolly, who finished with 1-6, expertly converted the resultant penalty.
The win advances Nemo into their 26th county final where will play St Finbarr's after the latter's 2-17 to 1-16 victory over Castlehaven this evening.
