In yesterday's Laois SFC semi-final at a blustery MW Hire O'Moore Park, O'Dempsey's corner back Johnny Kelly scored an 'own point' when his misplaced kick cleared his own crossbar. Thankfully for the defender, O'Dempsey's still went on to beat surprise packets Courtwood by 1-16 to 0-11 and qualify for the final where they'll face three-in-a-row chasing Portarlington who hung on to beat the once-mighty Portlaoise 0-9 to 0-8 in other semi-final.
