An early morning training session involving nine Dublin footballers and a coach took place in Innisfails GAA club on Wednesday reports the Irish Independent.

Along with the report, the Irish Independent has published photos of the training session which included a coach, cones on the pitch and a host of All-Ireland winners.

The session took place just hours after the GAA warned counties not to break Covid restrictions before intercounty senior training can resume on April 19 because doing so could jeopardise the return of Gaelic Games..

“It is more important than ever that no collective training sessions are held between now and the Government indicated return dates. Breaches in this context will not only be dealt with under our own rules but would likely put the broader plan to return to activity in serious jeopardy,” said the GAA in a communication to all units on Tuesday evening.

Already both Down and Cork footballers have been punished for holding collective training sessions, with suspensions for their managers and the loss of home venue for a league game.
