New Longford football manager Billy O’Loughlin has named former Cavan footballers Paul Brady and Michael Hannon in his backroom team ahead of the 2022 season.

Longford GAA confirmed yesterday that Laois native O’Loughlin had been given the nod to replace Padraic Davis by the county’s Management & Finance Committee.

Handball icon Brady comes into his backroom team as a Performance Coach, while Drumgoon native Hannon will work with the Leinster side as a coach.

Both men were key cogs in Cavan’s defence during their inter-county playing days and are sure to provide the Midlanders with some valuable insight given their experience.

Also named in the O’Moore County’s new management team are Mayo's Aidan Kilcoyne (goalkeeping coach), Tyrone's Daniel Doherty (strength and conditioning coach), Dublin's Ryan McKittrick (analysis) and Ian Mulligan (stats).
